This is a picture of a famous Polish painter Jan Matejko (1838 - 1893)
An absolute masterpiece of historical painting. It presents a moment of death of the great Master of the Order of Teutonic Knights Ulrich von Jungingen and the Lithuanian Duke Vytautas the Great triumph on the battlefield in 1410 under the command of Polish King Wladyslaw Jagiello.
